DEEDRA, IT'S MY FIRST TIME GETTING A READING WITH YOU, WHAT ARE YOU LIKE?

 

I am pretty frank, straight forward, fun and positive. I tend to see the higher reason for why things are happening. I am not judgmental. I do my best to relay the information in a realistic way as I interpret the cards. I don't sugar coat messages. I am known to tell it like it is with a light heart and sense of humor because it is in your best interest for me to be honest. Even if you are missing the point (usually because your ego is trying to interpret what I am saying), I will kindly be relentless until your ego moves out of the way. I will be real while keeping the reading spiritually mindful. Expect the session to be a collaborative effort between me, you and the cards. If you have to cry...totally cry. It is not uncommon for waterworks to start once we start diving into life. It's not about me telling you about your future. If you ask..."When will I get married?" the tarot and I aren't great at dates (I suggest consulting an astrologer). The answer most likely will describe the kind of mindset you will be in by the time you are ready to get married (if you do). Life is a process of lessons and exercises. Don't be surprised if the cards initially bring up current situations because in order to understand the probable future, we must have clarity on who are you right now. I am not a fortune teller! I am here to help you awaken and understand your soul desires. You already know what your Ego desires are. I am sure you are very conscious of them. I am here to tell you what your soul desires are.

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO APPROACH A READING?

See it as a spiritual check in. Ask about yourself. Lots of times people want to know about other people but do you go to a medical doctor and ask how someone else is doing?

HOW LONG SHOULD I WAIT UNTIL I BOOK ANOTHER FOLLOW UP READING?

Quarterly, semi annually or annually. Tarot readings address your soul goals. It takes real life living time to process, absorb and understand what the reading was about as you perceive it in your body, mind and soul. Your Ego will expect quick, solid answers and want to see obvious results right away but that is not who the tarot and I speaking to. We are not speaking to the impatient Ego. We are talking to your Higher Self, your Soul. Allowing the tarot reading to be realized within your personal experience requires patience.

WHY ARE THE READINGS OFFERED FOR ONLY ONE HOUR AND NOT SHORTER LIKE, 45 OR 30 MINUTES?

Because we aren't meeting to eat a quick snack, so to speak. A quick snack will not fill you up with soul nourishment. I am not a "tarot on the go" type of reader. You are going to eat a full meal and receive full nourishment if you can absorb the nutrients whole heartedly during my readings. Essentially, we are having a conversation with 3 energies...me, you and the tarot. I have found that anything less than an hour feels too rushed for me. Honestly, expect the readings to run overtime like even 75 - 90 minutes. I only do mini short readings for parties and corporate events where I have to read for many people within a few hours. And even then, we are really only scratching the surface of what we could really dive into if only we had more time. One hour gives us time to relax. I mean, when you get a massage, would you prefer a 30, 60 or 90 minute? For me...I want 90!

DEEDRA, ARE YOU PSYCHIC?

 

I consider myself an intuitive. I definitely have moments of clairvoyant visions and clairaudient hearing. I dream a lot and get messages too. I have my "medium" type moments. I just go with the flow and trust. Sometimes guides, ancestors and fairy friends might show up but I don't expect them to unless they are pretty loud and clear and I am able to perceive them.

 

HOW TO PREPARE FOR A READING:

Be open to whatever the cards bring up. I lay the cards out first...they guide the session and make us talk.

 

DEEDRA, WHAT IS THE HISTORY OF THE TAROT?

 

Google “tarot history” and you will find all the information you need.  I didn’t study the history, I just know how to read the cards. I think tarot started in Italy in the 1400's. Yes...it's old.

 

DEEDRA, DO YOU HAVE TO BE CERTIFIED OR LICENSED TO BE A TAROT READER?

 

No, there is no law for tarot readers. I never went through any certification program, followed a mentor nor had an institution tell me I was ready to “read” for people. I followed my passion, intuition, and soul expression. Only the client can determine whether I am legit or not. YOU are my teachers and I thank you! In fact, it's known to be "for entertainment purposes only". And I really dislike how television and movies portray tarot readers...like I am messing with the devil. Please....that is so boring and fear based. It's a shame they don't educate viewers on how to use the tarot as a tool for self awareness.
